Asbestos is a mineral that is found all over the world and was manipulated into a material that was meant for insulation of homes and buildings. There are other alternatives used today even though some countries still mine the asbestos but this is unfortunately too late for those that have suffered the symptoms of asbestos cancer.

Asbestos fibers that are inhaled cannot be removed from the lungs and will eventually lead to complications in breathing. There are also diseases that are directly related to the contact you have had with this mineral compound which are not directly related to lung problems. The fibers may get caught in abdomen or the lining of the heart known as the pericardium.
